Senior Research Assistant, UCSF
My research career began in a UCSF neurology institute where I worked in a
study of the pharmacokinetics of cyclic AMP and alcohol metabolism isolating
human lymphocytes and direct measurement with an HPLC.
My research at the CPDID includes purifying a protease from Giardia lamblia, creating a procedure to purify the kissing bug antigen used in the detection of Chagas' disease and streamlining the purification of the cercarial elastase of Schistosoma mansoni.
